Job Description
Western State Hospital (WSH) is recruiting for a Dietitian to evaluate patients nutritional status and dietary and nutrition education needs through initial and re-assessment processes. This position will also provide appropriate medical nutrition therapy for patients through the development and implementation of individualized nutrition care plans and nutrition education.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a Registered Dietitian (RD)/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Experience in the fields of nutrition and dietetics. Critical thinking skills and ability to read, interpret and analyze reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated experience in teaching in both a group and individual setting. Ability to prioritize schedule and work independently and part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor’s /Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field. Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Prior experience with CBORD food service system preferred.
