Summary:
Welcome to VCU, School of Social Work. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional support to the Office of Field Education (OFE), which includes managing the cultivation and affiliation of field sites for students, assigning field placement assignments for students, supporting re-matching of students should placement disruptions/terminations emerge, manage student placement assignments in the Tevera database and provide support to students, faculty, and agency partners related to those placement assignments, attend and participate in all field education events, meetings and orientations as needed, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Hiring Standards:
● MSW degree from a CSWE accredited university or a related field
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● Excellent organization skills
● Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
● Ability to handle large volume of communication with students and community partners
● Ability to handle large volume of data from students and community partners
● Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
● Ability to use independent judgment, initiative and decision making in daily tasks
● Demonstrated leadership in establishing and sustaining community and academic
collaborations
● Ease in working with technology, databases and online teaching platforms
● Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student
environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Hourly position, non-exempt
$25/hour
Preferred Hiring Standards:
● Two years post-MSW practice experience
● Field education supervision experience as a field instructor or field liaison
● Familiarity with state, local and community based organizations
