Groundskeeper
The University of Lynchburg is accepting applications for a full-time Groundskeeper. Under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor, the primary duties include but are not limited to, mowing, seeding, fertilizing, sodding, installing landscaping, mulching, pruning & snow removal. The successful candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. & perform general grounds maintenance tasks of a standardized nature using a variety of hand tools & motorized equipment. Inclement or hazardous weather cleanup is required as directed by the Grounds Supervisor & Director.
Qualifications: One to three years' experience in grounds-related services. Knowledge, training, & experience in grounds keeping, gardening & landscaping techniques preferred. Valid Virginia driver's license required pesticide certification is preferred & trash truck experience preferred.
