Client Support Specialist
Role and Responsibilities
The Women’s Initiative is seeking a Client Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the agency and create a warm, inviting atmosphere for clients. The Client Support Specialist serves as the community’s first contact with the agency, pivoting between facilitating client services and supporting the team. This position coordinates our busy daily Call-In Therapy Clinic, provides referral services, schedules appointments, maintains electronic and hard copy health records. The ideal candidate is a friendly and confident communicator, active listener, and experienced multi-tasker who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. This position is supervised by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Experience in effectively supporting clients through customer service, hospitality, front desk reception, medical billing, or similar field
- Proficient in managing multiple competing tasks at the same time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings up to twice weekly
- Ability to train and coordinate a small team of volunteers
- Committed to providing culturally responsive care to our diverse client base
Preferred Skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish highly preferred
- Exceedingly well organized, confident communicator
- Knowledgeable and supportive of the mission of The Women’s Initiative
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems or similar software
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with teams
- Familiar with Charlottesville history and culture, area nonprofits and community organizations
