GRANT ADMINISTRATOR, REAL ESTATE SOLUTIONS 

Richmond-Based 

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a grant administrator to join its Real Estate Solutions Division. This position will work with economic development partners and the grant program manager to administer VEDP’s grant programs, including financial reporting, budget updates, payment requests and invoicing, ensuring timely coordination and review of required appropriate project documentation and managing updates to stakeholders and supporting contract management.

This position will join a high-impact team that broadly focuses on analyzing, developing, and implementing real estate solutions for economic development projects across Virginia. The team collaborates and coordinates with partners (e.g., local and regional economic development organizations, utilities, state funding partners) and third-party private entities to strategically develop and maintain a comprehensive, statewide portfolio of project-ready industrial sites and other real estate options for the full range of economic development project types and sizes considering Virginia and its regions.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure grantees submit and process quarterly reports.
  • Track and process reimbursement requests and contract change orders.
  • Track performance dates for contracts and notify grantees in advance of reporting deadlines.
  • Track outcomes of grants to evaluate the return on investment (ROI)
  • Support program planning with internal and external stakeholders, including scheduling of webinars and providing technical assistance as needed.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and site visits to build relationships with partners, market, and support site development grant programs.
  • Review and evaluate grant applications to ensure completion.
  • Maintain and update program application and guidelines.
  • Update and maintain standard operating procedures documentation.
  • Participate in site visits and grant selection processes.
  • Assist with administrating other site development grant programs with other state agencies. Work with the Salesforce team to create efficient workflows and add updates or enhancements as needed.
  • Coordinate compliance reviews.
  • Support the property database manager with updating property information based on data collected during grant administration. Ensure documents obtained during the grant cycles are archived appropriately.
  • Provide support to VEDP’s initiative, special studies, programs and reports as requested.

 

Skills: 

  • Relevant experience in positions of progressive responsibility at an economic development, civil engineering, construction management, industrial real estate, and/or public organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and organize a schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate or development, project management fundamentals, and local government is preferred.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, or other CRM Platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.

 Experience: 

  • 2 years’ experience in project administration, project management, real estate management, or construction management.
  • Experience with grant administration.

 

Highly competitive applicants will also have one or several of the following: 

  • Substantial experience with site development associated with manufacturing and other industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of economic development or regional/urban planning.
  • Familiarity with Virginia’s economy.
