  • The Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Molloy University seeks a full-time, nursing faculty member with expertise as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our supportive and energetic community of teacher-scholars. The candidate should have a strong clinical practice background as an APRN, along with enthusiasm for teaching, curriculum development, student evaluation, program assessment, advisement, service, and scholarship.

    All of our nursing programs take a holistic and personal approach to the development of students as clinicians, leaders, and advocates for health equity and improvement of healthcare, and as lifelong learners. The ideal candidate will share this commitment. The position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to teach relevant courses, supervise and coordinate clinical practica in the specialty, and participate in curriculum innovation, primarily in the PMHNP programs, with additional opportunities to teach and mentor undergraduate, graduate and doctoral nursing students, and participate in scholarly work, depending on program need and candidate qualifications.

    Minimum Requirements:

    The ideal candidate will also meet the following minimum requirements:
    • Eligible for unrestricted licensure as an RN in New York state
    • Nationally certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health NP
    • Eligible for licensure as an APRN in New York State
    • Doctorally-prepared, or close to doctoral degree completion
    • Dual certification preferred
    • Experience as an APRN program/track coordinator preferred
    • Experience in nursing education preferred
    Salary Information:

    When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. This hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
