JOB OVERVIEW
The Clinical & Sales Education Specialist is responsible for the planning and execution of training workshops that promote all MicroAire medical device products. The candidate will need to interpret and communicate complex surgical procedures with clinical and sales staff on the diverse portfolio of medical devices. Frequent domestic and international travel is an essential part of this role. This position requires up to 50% travel.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and clinical experience that provides knowledge of overall human anatomy and physiology with frequent exposure and handling of cadaveric tissue. Candidates must be willing and able to complete all necessary vaccinations and requirements for entry into operating rooms and hospitals.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Helps to establish annual training program strategy and strategic marketing to promote annual trainings
Organizes all logistics - specimens, facilities, instrumentation, travel - for domestic and international surgeon & sales trainings
Assists surgeons as required in live surgical demos. Provides technical equipment support and has knowledge of surgical procedures. Utilizes technical product knowledge and assists surgeons as requested in cadaver labs.
Assists with all documentation necessary to track conversion and sales metrics into a CRM
Assists in the coordination and completion of all payments, regulatory documentation, etc. in accordance with industry-standard policies
Works hand in hand with domestic and international sales team to disseminate leads and follow up on potential opportunities
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Experience Requirements: Preferred experience within the healthcare industry and/or event management
Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel annually. Workshops and events frequently occur on weekends or after normal business hours. Must have, or be able to obtain, a US passport.
Other Requirements: Comfortable working with cadaver and other anatomical tissues. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
AUTHORITY LEVEL & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Team Structure: The Clinical & Sales Education Specialist will be part of the training team and report directly to the department manager.
Work Environment: Several types of work environments - Office (MicroAire Corporate office), bioskills/anatomy labs, and hospital operating rooms
