Advertising Sales Director
Carpenter Media Group, the largest privately owned newspaper and newspaper website company in North America, is seeking a talented and driven Advertising Sales Director to join our team at the American Press in Lake Charles, LA. As part of our organization, you will manage a team of three outside sales representatives, a two-person classified advertising team, and one sales assistant.
The primary objective of this role is to increase market share and drive overall advertising revenue growth, with a strong focus on digital platforms. The Advertising Sales Director will play a pivotal role in coaching and training the sales team to become confident top performers, with a dedication to helping our clients grow their businesses. You will be responsible for guiding the sales team on effective prospecting, appointment setting, and pipeline management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth through digital platforms
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize advertising solutions for clients
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and success
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in advertising sales, preferably in a newspaper or digital media environment
- Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Strong leadership and team management skills and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in digital advertising platforms and strategies
