Job Overview: Komatsu is looking for Boring Mill Operators to set up and operate all machine shop equipment to make or repair all types of metal parts and equipment. We are seeking operators to work the second or third shift at our Duffield, Va. Service Center and have the flexibility to work overtime and/or weekend hours as needed.
Qualifications: Candidates should have two or more years of machine shop experience (i.e., turning, boring, facing and thread cutting) in a heavy manufacturing environment. They should be proficient in the set-up and operation of horizontal boring mills, lathes, drill presses, welding equipment, grinders, saws, and hoists. Additionally, candidates should be able to perform basic math and metric conversions, read assembly and machine drawings, and use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, depth mics and feeler gauges.
Compensation and benefits: Komatsu offers competitive benefits packages that include immediate benefit eligibility, annual bonus plan, relocation allowance and educational assistance. Base pay ranges from $53,331 to $61,131 annually.
