Part-Time Administrative Assistant - Gilliam Center for Entrepreneurship
The Gilliam Center for Entrepreneurship at James Madison University (JMU) is accepting applications for a part-time administrative professional.
Duties and responsibilities include:
• Greet clients and visitors to the Gilliam Center for Entrepreneurship (GCFE)
and serve as the outward facing staff member for the ICCE (Innovation,
Collaboration, Creativity and Entrepreneurship) Hub
• Manage appointments for GCFE Executive Director and Assistant Director
• Manage reservations for ICCE space
• Monitor cfe@jmu.edu email address and direct inquiries as appropriate
• Manage departmental small purchase credit card
• Compete financial reports/vouchers/reimbursements to/from JMU
Foundation, state account
• Prepare all travel requests and reimbursements for GCFE staff/programs
• Maintain and update application databases and membership rosters for
incubator students, accelerator students, advisory board members,
entrepreneurship mentors
• Provide support for all GCFE events to include room reservations, promotional
materials, contacts
• Create and manage GCFE event and activity calendar and post to social media
Required qualifications include:
• Demonstrated organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Proficiency in office systems
• Comfortable working with many different and often high profile stakeholders
to include students, advisory board members, faculty, university
administrators, etc.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred qualifications include:
• Familiarity with JMU Finance systems, Virtual EMS, eVA and Chrome River
helpful, but not required
• Event planning experience
This is a part-time wage position working an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits. The work schedule is flexible.
