This position is a full-time, renewable academic year position for the 2022-23 academic year in Harrisonburg, Virginia and is benefits eligible.

Duties and Responsibilities
The position has responsibilities in teaching all areas with preference to those with relevant work experience in the broad areas of business and marketing. Typical courses would be Business Decision Making in Modern Society (BUS 160), Social Media Marketing (MKTG 410), Strategic Internet Marketing (MKTG 470) and/or Digital Marketing Practicum (MKTG 477). The following is a non-exhaustive list of possible activities faculty members may undertake to support the maintenance of professional qualifications: continuing education and certifications, consulting, serving on boards, recognized professional expertise in the teaching discipline, publications, and university administrative duties. These requirements can be met in a number of ways, thereby providing the candidate the ability to contribute based upon their strengths, abilities, and interests. It is anticipated that in order to meet these obligations, the successful candidate will need to be available for potential on-campus activities during multiple days throughout the week.

At a minimum, applicants should have an MBA from an AACSB-accredited institution.

The Department of Marketing is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their teaching, professional qualifications, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the JMU academic community. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to add intellectual diversity to the department, to engage successfully with diverse students and colleagues, to help students understand diverse perspectives, and to mentor diverse students and communities.
