Recovery Coordinator
Goochland Powhatan Community Services is seeking a full-time Recovery Coordinator to coordinate peer recovery services within Goochland and Powhatan Counties for adults experiencing substance use and co-occurring issues. Peer Specialist certification preferred ability to be certified as a peer specialist required.
Definition
Under supervision of the Outpatient Supervisor, this position is responsible for engaging, connecting, and advocating for persons with substance use and co-occurring disorders within the service sector
and the community at large. The Recovery Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for community partners seeking information about referral and coordination of care for individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders who are not yet connected with the CSB. Community partners could include Fire/Rescue/EMS, Sheriff’s Departments, Commonwealth attorneys, courts, probation, jails, Social Services, free clinics, Health Departments, and schools. The Recovery Coordinator will liaise with these community partners working to coordinate efforts among community
partners to address and reduce substance use and collaborate and expand peer support services in Goochland and Powhatan Counties.
