Marketing Manager - Sales Engagement

Gannett’s B2B Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our growing team. Reporting into a Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager supports our ambitious vision of driving growth and retention of our B2B ad sales business. Your work will be critical to supporting sales priorities that will enhance customer journey for the purposes of retention, cross-selling, and upselling our digital marketing solutions platform and core advertising products.
You will bring a rigorous, data-driven approach to the development of marketing programs that deliver impactful results, connecting targeted segmentation strategies with compelling copy and creative to drive engagement, leads and revenue.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client engagement
- Partner with sales channels leaders to define priorities and tactic mix, including database activation, nurturing, and lead acquisition
- Initiate research and analyze market trends (financial, technological, demographic, etc.) and recommend changes to market and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback, sales operations, and sales

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree or higher preferred
- 10+ years’ experience
- Experience with digital marketing and media preferred.
- Dedicated and collaborative partner to sales counterparts. Ability to collaborate and communicate with senior sales leaders about marketing strategy, campaign analytics, ROI and more based on program objectives.
- Superb quantitative skills and a clear understanding of ROI analysis. Marketing is a measurable science.
- Strong understanding and experience with inbound and/or field marketing.
- Creative copy writing and campaign concepts.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Equal strengths in technical (marketing automation program structure) and creative skills (email copy development, content topics, etc.)
- Experience with sales CRM, specifically Salesforce.
- Experience with email marketing, specifically working within a marketing automation platform such as Marketo.
- Ability to analyze data and interpret the “story” or next steps to take.
- Ability to drive consensus, resolve conflict and move a group towards a common goal.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $45,000 and $105,800. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
