Network Analyst I

If so, consider applying for the Information Technology (IT) Department's Network Analyst I position! The Network Analyst I is an exempt, full-time position with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $22.21 - $25.54 per hour (equivalent to $46,196 - $53,123 annually); however, an exact salary will be dependent upon the selected applicant's qualifications and in compliance with City policy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of administrative and technical work assisting the Infrastructure Team. Through your work, you will maintain the health and performance of the server and network infrastructure, including but not limited to network hardware/software, SAN maintenance, server maintenance, WAN/LAN connectivity, remote access, and more. Additionally, you'll play a vital role in the City's use of technology by working with departments to assist end-users and remediate issues, staying abreast of cybersecurity-related issues, and documenting and implementing appropriate networking technologies. Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Associate's degree with coursework in computer science, information systems/technology, or related field with minimal experience in VPN’s, networking, server utilization and storage, cybersecurity and either an A+ or Network+ certification required. An equivalent combination of certifications (A+, Network+), education, and experience will also be considered. Valid driver's license. Both the A+ and Network+ certifications are required within 12 months of hire date. Security+ certification is required within 24 months of hire date. The selected candidate for this position will be subject to the following screenings and must receive satisfactory results: DMV Driving Record Review; Criminal Background Investigation, including fingerprinting and a database query for felony and misdemeanor charges based upon name*; Security Test through Criminal Justice Information Services*; and Credit Check. *Due to the sensitive nature of information required to perform this position's essential functions with our Public Safety Departments, the successful applicant selected for the role will be subject to these screenings as required by the Virginia Criminal Information Network.
