Citizen Service Representative

The City of Cumberland will be accepting applications for the position of Citizen Service Representative within the Department of Community Development
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science degree in marketing, business administration, public relations, or other comparable degree. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
CLASS SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the creation and management of a citizen support program designed to answer citizen’s questions, track complaints or requests, determine a plan of action through the appropriate department, and respond back to the citizen regarding the City’s response to their complaint. This position provides the front line of support for citizens and helps to ensure that they are satisfied with the services provided by the city. This position shall also be responsible for media management of the citizen support program and other marketing strategies as required and shall provide departmental support as needed. The position will also be responsible to take the lead as the software administrator for software utilized by the community development department (specifically the Citizen-Serve and Building Blocks software) to ensure the systems are enhanced and changes to meet the changing department needs. The individual will play a key role in the continued development of the City Neighborhood Revitalization Program.
