The primary purpose of the Part-Time Adjunct Faculty-Surgical Technology person is to teach courses in areas of Surgical Technology at the Muskegon Campus.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
  • Teach theory, lab, and clinical
  • Provides laboratory and clinical instruction in core areas and other areas as needed
  • Assists the Director with curriculum planning, textbook recommendations, ongoing assessment and evaluation, and revisions for the core sections
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related area with Certified Surgical Technologist credential and at least 3 years of recent scrub and/or surgical technology education teaching experience or both within the last 5 years preferred
  • Associate's degree in related area with Certified Surgical Technologist credential and at least 3 years of recent scrub and/or surgical technology education teaching experience or both within the last 5 years required
  • Must have willingness to travel to clinical sites and off site system meetings
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Waypoint, and Canvas
  • Must have effective verbal and written communications skills
  • The ability to lift and maneuver independently up to 25 lbs
